Eco-Refill Protocol: How to refill bottles using gallons:

1. Place gallon and clean bottles on a clean work area and fill each bottle separately, one at a time.

2. Remove the pump from bottle and place in a clean glass with pump facing up or place on a clean towel. It is important to keep your pumps clean.

3. Using a gallon jug, pump or pour the liquid into the bottle allowing about 1.5 inches of room so that the product does not overflow when pump is inserted.

4. Carefully place the pump directly back into the refilled bottle without touching the dip tube to anything.

This protocol is included with every eco-refill order. Mahalo for your efforts to reuse and reduce plastic! 

1. Ensure the circular base of the pump is screwed on tight to the neck of the bottle, by turning it clockwise.

2. The pump is currently in the down position. By turning the top portion counterclockwise it will cause the pump to unthread and pop up.

3. To release the product, push down on the pump to prime and allow the product to make its way up the dip tube/straw. It may take multiple pumps for the product to dispense.

4. To close the pump, push down (a bit of product will come out) and turn clockwise until the pump is secured in the ‘down position’. 

5. If you have completed the above steps and the product still does not come through the pump, please contact us at sales@malie.com and we can offer assistance.

1. Check to see if the pump has a pump clip attached to the shaft (it will be the same color as the pump itself). Remove the clip.

2. Ensure the circular base of the pump is screwed on tight to the neck of the bottle, by turning it clockwise.

3. The top of the pump will indicate counterclockwise to “open” and clockwise to “close”.

4. To open the pump, turn the top counterclockwise until you feel it click into place.

5. To release the product, push down on the pump to prime and allow the product to make its way up the dip tube/straw. It may take 5-10 pumps for the product to dispense.

6. To close the pump, turn the top clockwise until you feel it click into place.

7. If you have completed the above steps and the product still does not come through the pump, please contact us at sales@malie.com and we can offer assistance.

1. Ensure the circular base of the pump is screwed on tight to the neck of the bottle, by turning it clockwise.

2. On the top of the pump, there is an arrow that indicates the following:
a.) ‘closed position’ by turning the top portion of the pump clockwise. You will know it is in the closed position because the pump will not allow you to push down. 
b.) ‘open position’ by turning the top portion of the pump counterclockwise. You will know if it is the open position because the pump will allow you to push down. 

3. To release the product, first turn the top portion of the pump counterclockwise to be in the ‘open position’. Then push down on the pump to prime the pump and allow the product to make its way up the dip tube/straw. It may take up to 25-50 pumps for the product to dispense.

4. If the product does not come out after 50 pumps, first unscrew the entire pump from the neck of the bottle, lift the pump until you can see the bottom of the dipstick/straw, then reinsert the pump into the bottle 3-5 times to agitate the product. Lastly screw the pump back onto the bottle and pump another 25-50 times.

5. If you have completed the above steps and the product still does not come through the pump, please contact us at sales@malie.com and we can offer assistance.
