Big news for Mālie: Our beauty lab has a new home! We’re going back to where it all began over 20 years ago. The new Mālie Beauty Lab is located on the lush 65-acre Kilohana Plantation in Līhu‘e, right on our home of the Garden Island of Kaua‘i. Home to the creation of many of our signature Mālie products, the Mālie Beauty Lab’s relocation is a new opportunity to reconnect to the natural beauty Hawai’i provides.

The Mālie Beauty Lab is the heart of our farm-to-bottle philosophy. It’s where we distill fresh Hawaiian Hydrosols onsite and handcraft small batches of products, including:

Originally built in 1935, Kilohana Plantation is a treasured landmark on Kaua‘i and a must-see destination where visitors can experience the island’s rich culture, history, and natural beauty. Kilohana Plantation is home to a delicious restaurant, several cute boutiques, the famous Lūʻau Kalamaku, and the scenic Kaua‘i Plantation Railway. The thriving gardens and tropical orchards make Kilohana the perfect setting for Mālie’s Beauty Lab.

There’s nothing quite like home

Not only is Kilohana a treasured destination in Hawai’i, but it’s also particularly special to Mālie. Returning to Kilohana is a full-circle moment for us, as we planted our first farm here over 20 years ago! It was in Kilohana that we first cultivated the fragrant gardenia, plumeria, and coconut palms that inspired many of our earliest creations.

Today, the land is rich with tropical treasures like mango, pineapple, sugar cane, lilikoi, ti leaf, turmeric, ginger, plumeria, and more. These botanicals continue to inspire and infuse our products with the pure essence of Hawai‘i.

As the land flourishes, so too will our Beauty Lab. We’re excited to bring you the exceptional quality you’ve always experienced with Mālie as well as some new innovations.
